Cahill allowed five runs on 10 hits and eight strikeouts in five innings in the Diamondbacks' 5-1 loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

Cahill was rocked for a season-high 10 hits. The five runs are the most he's allowed in three starts. However, it fits nicely with his 5.55 ERA. The two home runs are also the most he's given up this season.

Cahill allowed three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out four in 5.2 innings in the Diamondbacks' 7-2 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Cahill allowed three runs on five hits and six walks while striking out five in four innings in the Diamondbacks' 3-1 loss to the Padres on Monday.

Other than a six-run outing on August 26, Cahill hasn't more than three runs since becoming a starter in July. However, the six walks were a season-high. Cahill has slowly moved his ERA down in the past few months, but it still stands at 5.06 for the year.

Cahill allowed six earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three in 3.1 innings in the Diamondbacks' 9-5 loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

It was the most runs Cahill has allowed in a game since July 23. He had allowed seven runs in his last four starts prior to Tuesday. It's also his first loss since July. His ERA rose from 4.54 to 4.98 as a result of the poor start.

Cahill struck out five and walked four while giving up two runs on six hits over 6.1 innings Wednesday against Washington.

He did not factor in the decision, and while the four walks Wednesday are a concern, Cahill seems to have made progress since his demotion to the minors earlier this season as he now carries a 25:10 K:BB over 33 innings in five starts since returning to the Arizona rotation. He'll look to sustain the momentum in his next start Tuesday against the Dodgers at Chase Field.

Cahill turned in 6.2 innings Friday night versus the Marlins, allowing two earned runs, six hits and three walks while striking out three en route to his third victory of the season.

After early season struggles led to a stint in the Diamondbacks' bullpen and eventually a trip to the minor leagues, Cahill finally seems to be rounding back into form as a part of the rotation during the past couple of weeks. Over his last four starts, the 26-year-old righty has posted a 2.70 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB ratio across 26.2 innings. Cahill is scheduled to be back atop the mound Wednesday versus the Nationals.

Cahill allowed two unearned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven in seven innings in the Diamondbacks' 14-4 win over the Rockies on Saturday.

The win is Cahill's second on the year. After holding a 5.40 ERA through July, Cahill has allowed just three unearned runs in two starts in August. The two starts both last seven innings, which is his season high. He also struck out seven batters for the second straight games. It seems Cahill is hitting his stride in August.

Trevor Cahill fell to 1-8 on the season after allowing three runs over six innings against the Reds on Tuesday.

Cahill rejoined the D'Backs' rotation to begin the second half. Tuesday's outing was, at the very least, not a nightmare for the right-hander, holding the Reds to seven hits and no walks while striking out three. The control has been better, but he hasn't been missing many bats. On the season, he owns a 5.59 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, and a 53/27 K/BB ratio. He'll try to continue his improvement next Sunday at home against the Pirates.
