Wilin Rosario hit a two-run homer in the Rockies' loss to the Padres on Monday.
The one-out fifth inning shot off Eric Stults was Rosario's only hit in four at-bats. Rosario missed a game over the weekend with a sore wrist, but he's suffering no ill effects with homers in each of his past two games. The Baby Bull hasn't done much this season outside of that pair of round-trippers, however, slashing .214/.277/.405 over 42 at-bats.

Wilin Rosario hit his first home run of the season Sunday, but the Rockies lost to the Giants.
Rosario hit 21 homers last season and is one of the more powerful catchers in the game, so it's surprising that it took 13 games to hit his first homer of 2014. It was only his third RBI and the 25-year-old is batting just .211, both numbers that should fix themselves quickly. He's not in the lineup for his defense, after all.

Rosario was a late scratch on Friday due to a left wrist strain that he sustained sliding during Tuesday's contest. The Baby Bull is hitting .233/.314/.300 with no homers and two RBI in his first eight games.

Rockies manager Walt Weiss said that Wilin Rosario will get "plenty of work" at first base this spring.
The Rockies want to keep Rosario's bat in the lineup as much as possible, so they'll give him some time at first base this season on days when he needs a break from catching. The 25-year-old has started four games at the position in his career.

Wilin Rosario could miss the final two games of the 2013 season as he continues to deal with a sore calf.
Rosario had planned on returning to the lineup on Friday, but tried to run before the game and felt lingering soreness in his calf. The Rockies won't push him and risk further injury, so consider it unlikely that he'll return this weekend.
