Kenley Jansen worked out of a two-on, one-out jam in the ninth inning to earn the save against the Padres on Sunday.

A walk and a single put runners on the corners with one out, but Jansen recovered to strike out Jake Goebbert and Seth Smith to end the threat. Jansen goes into the break with a 3.49 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 62/12 K/BB ratio over 38 2/3 innings. He's third in the National League with 27 saves, and he'll continue to be one of the game's best closers in the second half.

Kenley Jansen worked a perfect ninth inning, earning his 26th save in Thursday's win over the Rockies.

Juan Uribe broke a 2-2 tie in the previous half-inning, allowing the Dodgers to get Jansen into the game. It was his first appearance since June 30, but wasn't rusty in a 1-2-3 inning. Jansen is 26-for-29 in save opportunities with a 3.79 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP, and a 57/11 K/BB ratio in 35 2/3 innings.

Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth inning against the Indians on Monday for his 25th save of the season.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound fireballer ended things quickly with a 1-2-3 inning that featured no strikeouts, a rare occurrence indeed. He has collected five consecutive shutout appearances, earning a save each tine. That dominant stretch has put his ERA on a 4.55-to-3.89 diet. Jansen is now 25-for-28 in save chances to go with a 1.30 WHIP and 56/11 K/BB rate over 34-plus innings.

Kenley Jansen struck out all three batters he faced in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Padres on Sunday.

In his third straight day of work, Jansen once again showed no lingering effects of Friday's disaster. The right-hander struck out the side on 13 pitches, registering his 22nd save of the year. That's tied with Trevor Rosenthal for second-most in the NL and three behind Francisco Rodriguez for the National League lead.

Kenley Jansen gave up three runs in the ninth Friday against the Padres to take his first blown save since April 15.

Jansen had converted 16 straight save chances since blowing two of his first six. He still hasn't flashed 2013 form at any point during the season, but this is just the second time this year he's given up more than one run in an appearance.

Kenley Jansen allowed two hits but no runs and escaped the ninth inning with his 20th save in Tuesday's win over the Rockies.

Tasked with protecting a 4-2 lead, Jansen made things interesting, putting the tying run aboard quickly by giving up a pair of singles to start the inning. But he buckled down when he had to, getting Justin Morneau to pop out before striking out both Kyle Parker and Wilin Rosario. Jansen has failed to punch out a batter in just two outings this year, and one of those was a one-out appearance.

Kenley Jansen picked up his 19th save despite giving up a homer in the ninth Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

The homer came on his second pitch to Martin Prado and was a cutter that didn't cut. On his very next pitch, he gave up a scorching liner to David Peralta that was caught by Adrian Gonzalez. Even light-hitting Tony Campana hit one relatively hard -- well, very hard for him -- delivering a looping liner right at Hanley Ramirez. Jansen only looked good in striking out Chris Owings to end the game, with his cutter reaching 94 mph in the at-bat. Considering that he's pitched back-to-back days now -- and was quite shaky tonight -- he should be given Sunday off.
