Vance Worley will make his next start Saturday against the Orioles.

Worley was originally expected to pitch Sunday, but the Twins will move him up in the rotation in order to give Cole DeVries (forearm) an extra day to get ready. It's not a big deal, as Worley will be on regular rest. The 25-year-old right-hander allowed three runs over six innings Monday in his Opening Day start against the Tigers.

Vance Worley surrendered three runs and eight hits in six innings Monday in a loss to the Twins.

Worley had the unenviable task of facing off against Justin Verlander and the Tigers in his Twins debut. He did bounce back after giving up three runs in the first two innings, but the Twins never could overcome the deficit.

Vance Worley will start for the Twins on Opening Day -- April 1 -- against the Tigers.

Worley was acquired this offseason from the Phillies in a trade that centered around outfielder Ben Revere. The 25-year-old right-hander registered a 4.20 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 107/47 K/BB ratio in 133 innings last season for Philadelphia. He is barely fantasy relevant.

Vance Worley surrendered two earned runs in four innings Monday in the Twins' 6-4 defeat of the Rays.

Worley yielded five hits and issued one walk. He struck out two. The 25-year-old right-hander has a rough 5.63 ERA so far in the Grapefruit League, but he is a lock for a spot in the Twins' starting rotation.

Vance Worley allowed four runs -- three earned -- in two innings Friday in a no-decision versus the Marlins.

Worley gave up six hits, walked one and struck out one. He's not going to have the same caliber of defense in Minnesota that he'd gotten used to in Philadelphia, and those outings in which it seems like everything is falling in will likely be more plentiful this year.

Vance Worley allowed two hits over two scoreless innings Monday in the Twins' 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Worley is coming off September elbow surgery, but that didn't concern the Twins when they traded for him in December and it's not an issue now. He should be an adequate fourth or fifth starter in AL-only leagues.
