That's back-to-back three-hit nights for Revere. He tripled and scored the Phillies' first run in the fourth inning. He then singled, stole second base, and was stranded in the fifth. The center fielder is now 22-for-24 in stolen base attempts, and is slashing .282/.303/.346.

Revere entered the game with just one hit in his previous 16 plate appearances. He was back in the lead-off spot after having hit eighth in his previous three starts. Revere stole second base and eventually scored in the fifth inning, making him 21-for-23 in stolen base attempts. He is slashing a meager .275/.296/.332 on the season.

It's his first start since Monday, as Revere has been dealing with some swelling in his left knee. The speedster is in center field and batting leadoff versus the Cardinals' Carlos Martinez. Marlon Byrd and Carlos Ruiz are sitting out Sunday.

Revere is still trying to get all the swelling out of his left knee, which he injured when he banged into the outfield wall. He's made a couple pinch-hitting appearances and hopes to be back in the lineup soon. "It is hard to get flexibility in that knee," he said. "It really takes away from my speed game, and we are trying to get all the fluid out of my knee so I can feel comfortable out on the field."

Ben Revere missed a second straight start Wednesday due to a sore left knee.

Revere banged the knee into the outfield wall during Monday's game. He hoping to be back in the lineup Thursday but could wind up sitting out another day. "We're trying to get all the swelling out of there," Revere said Wednesday. "It would have been hard to play (Tuesday) night. I could probably pinch-hit today. It looks a lot better today than it did yesterday."
