Ben Revere is back in the Phillies' lineup Sunday.

It's his first start since Monday, as Revere has been dealing with some swelling in his left knee. The speedster is in center field and batting leadoff versus the Cardinals' Carlos Martinez. Marlon Byrd and Carlos Ruiz are sitting out Sunday.

Ben Revere (knee) has not started a game since Monday.

Revere is still trying to get all the swelling out of his left knee, which he injured when he banged into the outfield wall. He's made a couple pinch-hitting appearances and hopes to be back in the lineup soon. "It is hard to get flexibility in that knee," he said. "It really takes away from my speed game, and we are trying to get all the fluid out of my knee so I can feel comfortable out on the field."

Ben Revere missed a second straight start Wednesday due to a sore left knee.

Revere banged the knee into the outfield wall during Monday's game. He hoping to be back in the lineup Thursday but could wind up sitting out another day. "We're trying to get all the swelling out of there," Revere said Wednesday. "It would have been hard to play (Tuesday) night. I could probably pinch-hit today. It looks a lot better today than it did yesterday."

Ben Revere went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Reds.

In the third inning, Revere singled, moved to second on a Jimmy Rollins single and stole third base before scoring on a sacrifice fly. It was the Phillies' only run on the afternoon. Revere now has 17 stolen bases, behind only Dee Gordon and Billy Hamilton in the National League.

Ben Revere has been dropped to eighth in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Revere has a .303 on-base percentage, so he's a poor fit at the top of the lineup right now. The Phillies will have Jimmy Rollins lead off on Tuesday and Chase Utley hit No. 2.

Ben Revere went 2-for-4 with a run scored Monday in a loss to the Mets.

Revere has now hit safely in eight straight games and is batting .289 on the year. We won't complain from a fantasy perspective, but his .303 on-base percentage is not ideal out of the leadoff spot. He has walked just four times 199 plate appearances. No qualified batter has a lower walk percentage.

Ben Revere went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies.

Revere entered the game homerless in 1,562 plate appearances and went 0-for-3 before hitting his first career home run in the seventh inning off of Boone Logan. Certainly an ignominious feat. Despite the home run, Revere remains far away from respectability at the top of the Phillies' lineup, slashing .288/.301/.337 with 12 stolen bases.
