Carson has signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers, Ryan Walton of Valley Bay News reports.
Even after trading away Matt Kemp, the Dodgers have a pretty promising stable of outfielders. That makes Carson a long shot to break camp with the big-league squad, after he spent all of 2014 with the Indians' Triple-A affiliate. Already 33 years old, Carson owns a career .237/.257/.356 slash line over 187 plate appearances in the majors. He posted a .259/.335/.423 line for Triple-A Columbus last season.
