Posey was the centerpiece of the San Francisco offense in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Rockies, clubbing two home runs and driving in all three runs for the home team.

With starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner supplying a magnificent one-hit complete game shutout, the Giants didn't exactly need a big day from their offense, but Posey managed to comply anyway. He capitalized on a poorly-placed pitch by the Rockies' Jorge De La Rosa by smashing a two-run blast in the sixth inning, and later homered off reliever Brooks Brown to come away with the second multi-homer game of his career. The two long balls allowed him to surpass last season's home run total of 15, requiring 28 fewer games for him to do so.
