Michael Brantley was scratched from Tuesday's lineup after experiencing concussion symptoms during his pregame routine.

Brantley banged his head and neck on the Angels' John McDonald's knee while trying to break up a double play Monday. "He came in today feeling really good and started to ramp up his daily progression and didn't feel perfect," Indians manager Terry Francona said Tuesday. "So we immediately took him out of the lineup." Brantley has been sent for further testing and more will be known about his status once those results come back.

Michael Brantley left Monday's game versus the Angels for precautionary reasons after a hard slide trying to break up a double play in the third inning.

Brantley banged his head/neck area on the play. The fact that the Indians are calling his removal precautionary is a good sign that he should be alright, but the club should offer more information on his status after the game.

Michael Brantley went 3-for-3 with a homer, two walks and five runs scored in Monday's rout.

Brantley joined Emilio Bonifacio, Paul Goldschmidt and George Springer as players to score five runs in a game this year. Oddly, it's happened as many times in 2 1/3 months this season as the previous four years combined. Brantley is now fourth in the AL with 45 runs scored. Brian Dozier is tops at 53, following by Josh Donaldson at 52 and Jose Bautista at 49.

Michael Brantley went 2-for-4 and hit a walkoff homer off Al Alburquerque in the 10th in the Indians' 5-4 win over the Tigers on Monday.

The Indians snapped Detroit's six-game winning streak. It should come as no surprise that it was Brantley leading the way. He also walked tonight. He leads the Indians with nine homers and 33 RBI, plus he's walked once more than he's struck out (17-16).

Michael Brantley went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and three RBI against the Twins on Thursday.

Brantley has hit in eight straight games, collecting two homers, four doubles and 10 RBI in that span. He's not to keep hitting homers like he has thus far (six through 34 games), but he should remain a fine mixed-league outfielder.
