Jhoulys Chacin fell to 1-7 after yielding seven earned runs in 5 2/3 innings Saturday to the Brewers.

Chacin also got roughed up Monday by the Cardinals and now holds an ugly 5.40 ERA on the season. Milwaukee got to him for 11 hits on Saturday -- including two doubles, a tripe, and a Carlos Gomez home run.

Jhoulys Chacin dropped to 1-6 after giving up five runs in six innings Monday against the Cardinals.

Chacin was coming off three straight quality starts, but only one of those (7 scoreless against the Braves on June 12) was all that strong of an outing. His velocity isn't what it was, and it doesn't look like he's going to return to being the guy who was among the NL's 10 best pitchers last year.

Jhoulys Chacin yielded three runs and seven hits in six innings Tuesday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Chacin was coming off his best start of the season, blanking the Braves for seven innings on Thursday. This time around, he struck out five, walked three and gave up a pair of homers (to Hanley Ramirez and Matt Kemp). Chacin entered the game 0-2 with a 5.32 ERA in four road starts. With Coors Field as the alternative, you can see why it's a little hard to trust Chacin (4.53 ERA) in fantasy right now. The right-hander hosts St. Louis on Monday.

Jhoulys Chacin finally won for the first time this season by blanking the Braves for seven innings on Thursday.

Chacin had been 0-4 with a 5.35 ERA in seven starts since returning from a shoulder injury. Today's game was easily the most run support he's gotten (eight runs while he was in the game, 10 overall), on the one occasion that he didn't really need it. Chacin is still merely a fringe play in NL-only leagues right now.

Making his second start since coming off the DL, Jhoulys Chacin yielded two runs and four hits in six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Reds.

Chacin gave up a long, long, long home run to Todd Frazier, but he shook that off and turned in a pretty nice outing, albeit one against a struggling, banged-up offense. We still wouldn't use him in mixed leagues yet.

Jhoulys Chacin allowed four runs on eight hits over five innings in a loss to the Mets in his first start of the season on Sunday.

Chacin struggled to find the plate, issuing five walks to go with the eight hits allowed. He also struck out four. He'll get getter as he knocks the rust off, as he was sidelined for the season's first month with a shoulder injury. His next start will come Friday at the Reds.

Rockies activated RHP Jhoulys Chacin from the 15-day disabled list.

Chacin will make his season debut on Sunday against the Mets after missing the first months of the season with a shoulder issue. Even against a weak Mets lineup, Chacin isn't a great streaming option at Coors Field in his first outing.

Jhoulys Chacin (shoulder) will likely rejoin the Rockies rotation Sunday against the Mets.

Chacin went six innings in his final rehab start Tuesday, setting him up to make his season debut Sunday. The right-hander will take the rotation spot of Tyler Chatwood, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a right elbow strain.

Jhoulys Chacin (shoulder) allowed one run on four hits and four walks over six innings in Tuesday's rehab start for Triple-A Colorado Springs.

The four free passes obviously aren't ideal, but Chacin struck out four and was able to limit the damage. He threw 96 pitches, with 53 of them going for strikes. Although the Rockies have yet to make it official this outing was expected to be Chacin's last before rejoining the rotation.

Rockies manager Walt Weiss said Saturday that it's "safe to say" Jhoulys Chacin (shoulder) will make one more rehab start.

Weiss had indicated previously that Chacin's next outing could be with the big club, but the Rockies have ultimately decided he'd be best off making one more start in the minors. "I think it's safe to say he's not going to be making his next start with us," Weiss said. "But I don't like to look five days out, because things change, as we know, on a daily basis around here." Chacin holds a 6.75 ERA through three rehab outings.
