Guillermo Moscoso has agreed to a contract with Nippon Professional Baseball's Yokohama Bay Stars.
Moscoso was cut loose by the Giants in November after posting a rough 5.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 31/21 K/BB ratio across 30 innings of work in 2013. The exact financial terms of his deal with Yokohama have not been disclosed. It's presumably a one-year contract.

Guillermo Moscoso has elected free agency.
The 30-year-old right-hander was designated for assignment on Wednesday and refused an assignment to the minor leagues. He appeared in 13 games with the Giants in 2013, posting a 5.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 31/21 K/BB ratio over 30 innings of work. With the ability to start and work in relief, there should be suitors willing to let him compete for a roster spot.

Giants designated RHP Guillermo Moscoso for assignment.
The Giants needed to clear room on their 40-man roster, and Moscoso became a victim of the numbers crunch. The right-hander had a 5.10 ERA in 30 innings of work, including two starts, this season. The 30-year-old must now pass through waivers to remain with the club.

Guillermo Moscoso struggled in his spot start against the Padres in Sunday's season finale, giving up five runs on four hits and four walks in only 4 1/3 innings.
The 29-year-old right-hander, who had appeared almost exclusively out of the bullpen this season, got the call in place of Matt Cain. Nick Hundley tagged him for a solo shot in the third inning, but most of the damage came after he departed in the fifth as all three of his inherited runners rode home on Jedd Gyorko's grand slam. He finishes the season with an uninspiring 5.10 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 31/21 K/BB ratio in 30 innings of work.

He'll be working in the place of Matt Cain who has been shut down for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old right-hander has appeared primarily out of the Giants bullpen this season, compiling a 4.21 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 27/17 K/BB ratio over 25 2/3 innings. He makes for a decent streaming option if you're scraping the bottom of the barrel in mixed leagues.

Guillermo Moscoso surrendered three runs on four hits over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Sunday.
He struck out three, walked four and allowed a two-run homer to Wil Myers in the first inning. Moscoso, who took the rotation spot of Barry Zito, entered the game with a 4.19 ERA over 24 starts and 34 relief appearances in the majors. He's not worth the hassle in fantasy.
