It was Parra's second homer overall and his first since April 9. This was only Parra's second extra-base hit since April 13, but the other came on Sunday, so hopefully he's broken out of the little funk he was in. He's slashing .268/.308/.375 in the early going.

Parra requested $5.2 million and was offered $4.3 million from the Diamondbacks when arbitration figures were exchanged last month, so the two sides settled for a little above the midpoint. Gerardo Parra requested $5.2 million and was offered $4.3 million from the Diamondbacks when arbitration figures were exchanged on Friday.

Expect the sides to meet somewhere in the middle in the neighborhood of $4.75 million. Parra was thrust into an everyday role in 2013, and responded by slashing a respectable .268/.323/.403 while winning a Gold Glove in right field. His value is higher in real baseball than in the fantasy world though, and he remains a fringe option in mixed leagues.
