Gil Velazquez had his best game as a Marlin in Thursday's loss to the Braves, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
This is the first time that the 32-year-old journeyman infielder has received more than eight at-bats in a major league season. He's held his own to this point, hitting .270 (10-for-37) with one RBI. His RBI double off Tommy Hanson in the fourth inning was the first extra-base hit of his MLB career.
