Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the Blue Jays and Giants are "taking their best shot" at trading for Chase Utley, but the second baseman is unlikely to be dealt.

Utley has 10-and-5 trade veto rights and doesn't appear eager to leave Philadelphia even though the Phils appear headed for a rebuilding phase. It's possible that his mind can be changed before the end of the month, but at the moment it doesn't sound like the veteran second baseman is going anywhere.
