Justin Upton LF/RF ATL 1 Month

Justin Upton (head) has been sent to be re-examined after experiencing renewed symptoms on Friday.

Upton hasn't started the last two games due to dizziness that the Braves think was brought on by an inner ear issue. He was feeling well enough to pinch-hit Thursday but reported to the park Friday feeling worse again. An update on the outfielder's status should be available later Friday.

Justin Upton (head) is still feeling light-headed.

But he is aiming to return to the Braves' starting lineup Thursday versus the Nationals. "We'll make that decision tomorrow when I get up," Upton said after missing Wednesday's game. "Obviously I want to be out there with the guys, but if I'm not feeling all right and I can't help the team, then it's better to have somebody else out there 100 percent." He has a .278/.351/.510 batting line with 14 home runs and 37 RBI on the season.

Upton wasn't involved in any collision or anything, so he likely was just affected by the muggy night in Atlanta. Consider him day-to-day.

Justin Upton (hamstring) indicated after Tuesday's game that he'll likely be sidelined for the next day or two.

Upton refused to officially rule out playing Wednesday, but obviously it's highly unlikely. The outfielder left Tuesday's game with a tweaked left hamstring, though it does appear to be a mild strain.

Upton singled and scored in his lone plate appearance before exiting. The Braves are calling him day-to-day, so it appears that he was lifted for precautionary reasons. Jordan Schafer took Upton's spot in left field.
