Ryan Sweeney homered and drove home four runs on Friday, powering the Cubs to a 7-6 victory over the Cardinals in an afternoon matinee at Wrigley Field.

Sweeney got the Cubs on the board in the second inning with a three-run shot off Joe Kelly, then tacked on an RBI single his next time up. Even with the 2-for-4 effort though, he's hitting a mere .221/.264/.302 on the season and has little value outside of NL-only formats.

Cubs manager Rick Renteria said Saturday that Ryan Sweeney has suffered a setback in his recovery from a strained right hamstring.

The initial timetable called for Sweeney to return in late-May, so though the severity of the setback isn't known, it's unlikely that he'll return until June. The Cubs will continue to play matchups and utilize the outfielders that they have to the best of their abilities.
