Albert Pujols said Friday he expects to play through his left foot injury for the rest of the season.

Pujols hasn't had any improvement with his plantar fasciitis since the All-Star break and will wait until after the season to determine if he'll undergo go surgery. "It's been the same," Pujols said. "I still feel some pain. That's something that in the offseason, with time and with rest, hopefully it can go away."

Albert Pujols went 2-for-4 and hit his 16th homer of the season off the Athletics' A.J. Griffin on Friday.

Albert Pujols hit a home run and walked three times in a win over the Cubs on Wednesday.

He's now homered in back-to-back games and has hits in six straight. Maybe more noteworthy were his three walks, just the second time he's done it this year and the first since April 6. If he starts seeing the ball better and hitting for more power, we could see something closer to vintage Pujols in the second half.

Albert Pujols went 2-for-4 with a home run in the Angels' loss to the Cubs on Tuesday.

The homer broke a 14-game home run drought. Pujols does have a modest five-game hitting streak, going 7-for-20 (.350) in that span. Still, the 33-year-old is sporting an uncharacteristic .250/.322/.424 batting line in 87 games.

Albert Pujols is unsure at this time whether he'll undergo offseason surgery to repair plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

"When we get to that point, we'll talk about it," Pujols said Thursday. Something will need to be done, whether it's surgery or intensive rehab, as Pujols is hobbled by the ailment. "I'm definitely going to try to do something after the season to help me out and not play in that pain I've been playing in," Pujols told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "There's no doubt that I'll be a full-time first baseman next year."

Albert Pujols delivered a go-ahead RBI double in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Tigers in 10 innings.

Pujols hit a long drive to center field while almost Austin Jackson almost turned into a fantastic over-the-shoulder catch, but he was unable to hang on. If Mike Trout got a better read on the ball, Pujols might have tallied two RBI on the play. Either way, fantasy owners will take it. While the veteran first baseman has slowed down a bit over the past few days, June has been his most productive month of the season so far.

Albert Pujols went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-3 victory against the Mariners.

While his big night must be qualified -- Aaron Harang was on the mound, after all -- Pujols' heat check must be recognized. El Hombre is 12-for-23 (.522) over his last five games. He's batting .333 with an OPS over .900 in June after struggling mightily over the first two months of the season. If you can buy low, now's the time to do it.
