Pridie signed a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Pridie spent 2016 in Japan with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. He has not played in more than 10 major league games in any season besides 2011, and is a career .216 hitter in the big leagues. At 33, he'll most likely serve as organizational depth for Arizona.

Pridie was released from his contract to play in Japan.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old had limited time in the big leagues in 2015, going 0-for-9 in his brief stint. He'll now spend at least the 2016 season overseas.

Pridie was called up from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old journeyman sure enjoyed his first season in the Pacific Coast League, slashing .310/.380/.515 with a career-high 20 homers and 89 RBI in 127 games with the Sounds. Pridie, a second-round pick in 2002, has had very little success at the major league level to this point, and the A's don't have much reason to give him a look as he's likely not a part of their long-term plans.

Pridie signed a deal with the SK Wyverns of Korea on Monday, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports. A second-round pick in 2002, Pridie has appeared in just 15 games at the major league level over the past three seasons, including two in 2014. He's just a .225/.298/.364 career hitter at the major league level, but the 31-year-old Pridie will look to recoup some value overseas before perhaps looking to return to American baseball in 2016.

Pridie accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday, Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com reports. Pridie appeared in two games earlier this past week with the Rockies as temporarily roster filler, but at 30 years old, he was never viewed as a viable part of the organization's long-term plans. He'll function as a depth player at Colorado Springs, where he was slashing .274/.340/.425 over 339 at-bats.

The Rockies designated Pridie for assignment Wednesday. Pridie's tenure on the 40-man roster lasted all of four days, as the team bumped him Wednesday to clear a spot for Jordan Lyles (hand), who was on the 60-day DL. Now 30, Pridie has hit .275/.341/.426 in 87 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs this season and doesn't figure to draw much interest while on waivers.

Jason Pridie will not exercise the opt-out clause in his minor league contract with the Rockies. Pridie will have another chance to opt-out on August 15. The 30-year-old is batting .288/.352/.454 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, and 20 stolen bases over 61 games this season with Colorado's Triple-A affiliate.

Rockies reassigned OFs Jason Pridie and Tim Wheeler to minor league camp. No surprises here. Pridie hit really well this spring but never stood a chance of claiming a roster spot.

Jason Pridie went 4-for-4 with a walk, double, run scored, and an RBI against the Padres on Monday. Pridie had been hitless in the Cactus League since a 3-for-3 day against the Athletics on March 8. Despite the strong effort, there is no room for Pridie in a crowded Rockies outfield, so he'll start at Triple-A.

Rockies signed OF Jason Pridie to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Pridie was non-tendered by the Orioles earlier this month. He's a .228/.302/.371 career hitter in the majors and will serve as organizational outfield depth for the Rockies, who just traded Dexter Fowler to the Astros.
