Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reports that the Twins still have interest in signing free agent Scott Podsednik.

After trading away Denard Span and Ben Revere this offseason, the Twins could look to add Podsednik to their outfield mix, as they currently have just Brandon Boggs available as a reserve outfielder. Podsednik didn't play in the majors in 2011, but hit .302/.322/.352 in 63 games with the Red Sox this past season. According to Wolfson, the Twins are no longer interested in free agent Ryan Sweeney.

Scott Podsednik went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Angels.

The swipe was Podsednik's seventh in 30 games as a Red Sock, while he's now hitting .370/.392/.457 through 101 plate appearances. Set to see a big uptick in playing time with Carl Crawford undergoing season-ending surgery, there's no reason for Podsednik to be on the wire in AL-only leagues.
