Manager Don Mattingly said that Puig (hamstring) would likely be activated from the disabled when eligible May 10 or within a few days of that date, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.

Puig's hamstring has responded well to running drills over the last two days, which should put the outfielder on track to begin a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga in the coming days. Barring a setback during the minor-league assignment, Puig's owners should be preparing to activate him at the start of next week.

Manager Don Mattingly expressed a hope Saturday that Puig (hamstring) is able to head out on a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga by the end of the week, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Puig's rehab assignment was believed to be on the horizon, and now Mattingly appears to have placed a potential date. It's unclear how long he's expected to stay with the minor league club, but May 10 still seems like a realistic return date at this point.

Puig (hamstring) is expected to head out for a minor league rehab assignment in the near future, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Just five days after placing Puig on the DL, the Dodgers are already looking ahead to a rehab assignment. Manager Don Mattingly confirmed that Puig will play in minor league games soon with the hope of returning when first eligible May 10. The trip to the DL was the first of Puig's young career.

Puig (hamstring) will be placed on the disabled list, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Puig aggravated his hamstring injury in Friday's game, and an earlier report suggested a stint on the disabled list could be coming, which has now been confirmed. He last played Friday, so he will only be backdated to Apr. 25, meaning the earliest he could be activated from the disabled list is May 10. It's a big blow to owners who had to shovel out an early round pick on him, but rest is usually all that's needed to recover from a hamstring issue.

Puig (hamstring) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres.

Puig aggravated the hamstring injury in Friday's game, and has now been held out of the lineup for consecutive contests. He remains a candidate for the disabled list, but no roster moves have been announced as of 1:00 PM ET. The reserves spot is empty on the Dodgers' lineup card, however, so it's likely the team makes a few moves official in the near future. In the short term, Andre Ethier will take over Puig's spot in right field.

Puig (hamstring) could be headed to the DL, the Los Angeles Times' Dylan Hernandez reports. "I still think it's a possibility. We just don't know," manager Don Mattingly said Saturday.

He was out of the lineup Saturday as his hamstring continues to give him trouble in the early going. At this point it would have been nice if the Dodgers had just placed Puig on the DL right away about 10 days ago when the issue first surfaced, as a DL stay could only be backdated to Apr. 25 if they go that route now. This is a bigger problem for fantasy owners than the Dodgers, as the team has plenty of capable backups in the outfield, but Puig required a first or second round pick in fantasy leagues this year. It sounds like he should be considered out indefinitely at the moment, and hopefully the team will reveal more information about his status prior to weekly lineups locking Monday.

Puig (hamstring) is not in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday.

Puig suffered a hamstring injury during Friday's game and exited in the sixth inning. There is no word on how long Puig will be out of the lineup, but Andre Ethier will take his place in right field Saturday.

Puig was removed from Friday's game against the Padres after re-aggravating his preexisting left hamstring injury, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

Puig prematurely exited in the sixth inning after pulling up running to first base. He actually was beamed in the left knee with a pitch earlier in the game but that's apparently not related to his absence. The 24-year-old already missed four games with this same hamstring injury last week but is considered day-to-day moving forward with an update likely coming ahead of Saturday's game.

Puig exited Friday's game against the Padres in the sixth inning with an apparent left knee injury.

Puig was hit in the left knee by a pitch earlier in the game but continued to play until pulling up lame running to first base in the sixth inning. He was replaced by Andre Ethier in the lineup and should be considered day-to-day until the Dodgers can shed some light on the severity of Puig's injury.

Puig (hamstring) is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Giants, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angels Times reports.

The Dodgers were reportedly considering a DL stint for Puig after his setback with the hamstring injury, but evidently he showed enough to convince the training staff that he's good to go. Owners will probably want to get Puig back in their lineups right away, as he owns an 8-for-14 career mark (four extra-base hits) against Tuesday's starter Tim Linececum.
