The Cincinnati Reds recalled outfielder Gabby Guerrero from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday. The team also brought up pitchers Tyler Mahle and Keury Mella and catcher Tim Federowicz. Guerrero is the most exciting of the group as the cousin of Blue Jays star prospect Vlad Guerrero Jr. Gabby Guerrero was hitting .293/.328/.474 with 19 home runs, 81 RBI and four steals in 130 games with Double-A Pensacola and Triple-A Louisville. Houston Astros catcher Tim Federowicz has successfully cleared waivers and has been optioned back to Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies. This was a corresponding move to Brian McCann's activation off the disabled list. In seven at-bats with the Astros, Federowicz hit .143 with one double. He holds no fantasy value.

The San Francisco Giants have designated catcher Tim Federowicz for assignment. The catcher has had a couple of stints in the big leagues over the past couple of years but has been more used for depth.
