Feldman (knee) will make a rehab start Sunday with Double-A Corpus Christi, the Houston Chronicle's Evan Drellich reports.

He will need to make at least two rehab starts before he can rejoin the Astros, so he will probably not be back in the big leagues until after the All-Star break. Dan Straily would seem to be the obvious candidate for Feldman to replace when he is ready. Prior to the knee injury the 32-year-old lefty had a 4.80 ERA and just 37 strikeouts in 60 innings, so it's not even a given that Feldman will be locked into a rotation spot the rest of the way if he can't turn his season around.

Feldman (knee) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Tuesday or Wednesday this week.

Feldman resumed mound work a few days ago and is ready to take another step forward in his recovery from a torn meniscus. He could be a rotation option for the Astros after the All-Star break.

Feldman (knee) threw off of a mound Thursday, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Feldman, who has been on the DL since May 27, continues to work back from a torn meniscus. The Astros aren't expecting Feldman to return until after the All-Star break.

Feldman was placed on the 15-day DL Friday after undergoing surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus and is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks,'s Brian McTaggart reports.

While Michael Feliz was called up as a corresponding move, it won't be to take Feldman's spot in the rotation. Instead, Brett Oberholtzer figures to be a candidate to slot into the rotation while Feldman is out, or the Astros could opt to promote Vincent Velasquez from Double-A to step into the rotation.

Feldman limited the Orioles to one run on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts over six innings Tuesday to earn his fourth victory of the season.

Despite walking three in the contest, Feldman (4-4) only holds a 2.10 BB/9 this season, which would qualify as a career-best mark in a season for him. The veteran right-hander will face Baltimore again for his next start Monday, this time at Minute Maid Park where he holds a 5.50 ERA this season.

Feldman gave up 10 hits and five runs (four earned) in six innings during Thursday's loss to Detroit. He struck out two and walked one.

Feldman made it through three scoreless innings to start, but then the wheels came off after a two-run homer by Nick Castellanos in the fourth. He gave up two more in the fifth and another in the sixth before his day came to an end. Feldman had actually turned in consecutive quality starts coming into Thursday, but his season numbers don't play in most fantasy formats and he retains fantasy utility of any sort only in AL-only formats.

Feldman went 6.2 innings en route to a win with 10 strikeouts in the 6-5 win against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Feldman allowed three runs in the game, but only five hits surprisingly. This was easily his best game of the season, holding down such a potent offense like the Blue Jays. Feldman faces another dominant offense when he pitches against Detroit in his next start next Thursday.

Feldman tossed a quality start against the Angels on Sunday, striking out five and walking one while allowing three runs across seven strong innings.

The 32-year-old pitched well enough to win, but was out-dueled by Garrett Richards on the day and took a hard-luck loss. Feldman has now thrown five quality starts in seven outings this season and will next face the Blue Jays at home on Saturday.

Feldman lasted only three innings against his former team Tuesday, as the Rangers tagged him for six runs on nine hits and a walk to hand him his third loss of the season.

Feldman (2-3), who's ERA rose to 5.50 as a result of the poor start, will face the Angels in Anaheim for his next start Sunday.

Feldman allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks with a pair of strikeouts over seven innings Thursday, but didn't factor into the decision against the Mariners.

While Feldman (2-2) isn't striking out many batters, with just 16 strikeouts over 31.1 innings thus far, he's permitted just five walks he has a 2.36 GB/FB ratio through five starts with the Astros.
