Rodriguez will undergo surgery for loose bodies in the back of his elbow, and will miss 8-to-10 weeks, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

It appeared that Rodriguez was set to rejoin the Dodgers in the near future, but something more has been discovered in his elbow that will require a procedure. The newest issue will sideline him at least two months, holding him out for most, if not all of the remainder of the 2015 season.

Rodriguez (elbow) will join the Dodgers in Arizona early next week, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

Dr. Neal ElAtrache will give Rodriguez one final look over this weekend, but it sounds like the plan is for the lefty to be activated in time for Monday's series opener against the Diamondbacks. Rodriguez completed a successful rehab stint in the minors, tossing four scoreless innings with three hits allowed and six strikeouts in four appearances between High-A and Triple-A.

Rodriguez (elbow) has tossed four scoreless innings in his rehab appearances and could be activated sometime this week, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

It's not 100% that he would rejoin the big club right away, but we'll have to see.

Rodriguez (elbow) tossed a scoreless innings in a minor league rehab assignment for High-A Rancho Cucamonga Monday.

Good job by Rodriguez working around a leadoff triple. He could return in as early as a week or so assuming things continue to go well.

Rodriguez (elbow) will start a rehab assignment Monday, the Los Angeles Time's Dylan Hernandez reports.

This is excellent news for Rodriguez, who may now be just a week or two from rejoining the Dodgers' bullpen. He had a 2.61 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 18 appearances prior to landing on the DL and should work in mid-leverage situations upon his activation.

Rodriguez (elbow) threw a bullpen session Friday, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Rodriguez appears to be in the initial phase of his throwing program after previously being shut down to rest the elbow injury. Assuming his subsequent bullpen sessions continue to present no issues, he'll likely be cleared to start facing hitters again.

Rodriguez (elbow) will be shut down for a few days, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Rodriguez underwent an MRI on Tuesday that showed no structural damage, so the team will simply give him a few days off before he resumes throwing. The hope is that he'll be able to return to the fold later this month.

Rodriguez (elbow) was formally placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers still aren't sure on the severity of Rodriguez's elbow injury, so rather than playing the waiting game and having him eat up a roster spot, the team decided to bump him to the DL and send him in for an elbow examination. Expect the Dodgers to gain more clarity on the situation within a day or two. Matt West was recalled from Double-A Tulsa to assume Rodriguez's spot in the bullpen.

Rodriguez (elbow) will be placed on the 15-day DL, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Rodriguez has been bothered by a nagging elbow ailment of late, but has still pitched as recently as Friday. The pain isn't considered to be particularly intense, but he hasn't been able to finish his pitches, and will head back to Los Angeles for further evaluation. Look for more information, including a potential timeline, to be disclosed after that evaluation is complete.

Rodriguez got the critical third out in the eighth inning Friday night to register his fourth hold of the season.

Interestingly, the Dodgers have increasingly turned to Yimi Garcia, Rodriguez and Pedro Baez in close-and-late situations. Kenley Jansen is making progress in his rehab, and his return will shake things up in the bullpen, but they have other good options, as opposed to last season in the playoffs.
