Martin totaled three hits, three runs, an RBI and two stolen bases on Wednesday in a win at the Astros.

EDGE Analysis

Martin struggled for much of the second half, but in the last few weeks he seems to have found his from again. In 16 games since Sept. 11, he's hitting .286 with a homer, four doubles and six stolen bases.

Martin tied a career high with four hits, including three doubles, Monday in a win at the Angels.

EDGE Analysis

Martin's big night boosted his average to .250 for the first time since July 30. He has struggled most of the second half, but he is still contributing in runs and stolen bases with eight runs and a steal in his last 10 games. He's five runs from the career-high 68 he set in 2014. He also has 17 stolen bases.

Martin is out of the lineup Saturday against the A's.

EDGE Analysis

This is a rare day off for Martin, who has started the last 55 games, but he has hit just .235/.291/.335 with three homers and eight steals over that stretch, so it's odd that he wasn't taken out of the lineup sooner. Ben Gamel will get the start in center field and hit eighth Saturday, and Gamel could start to play more down the stretch if Martin continues to slump.

Martin stole his 14th base of the season Friday but continued his recent slump with a lone single in four at-bats.

EDGE Analysis

Martin had a .751 OPS on July 30, but in his last 18 games he has no extra-base hits and two multi-hit games, batting .210/.243/.210 for a .453 OPS in 71 plate appearances. He'll continue to start in center field -- there aren't a ton of options -- but the Mariners need him to pick it up.

Martin went 2-for-4 with a single, two-RBI double and a run in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Cubs.

EDGE Analysis

The Cuban slugger drove in the go-ahead runs in the eighth with a double to left center, plating Shawn O'Malley and Nori Aoki and erasing a 1-0 deficit in the process. Martin has multi-hit efforts in three of the last four contests and has hit safely in five of his last six games overall.

Martin went 2-for-5 with two home runs, including a walk-off solo shot in the bottom of the 11th inning Wednesday against the White Sox.

EDGE Analysis

Martin also hit a two-run homer in the second that started the comeback win, and he now has a career-high 13 on the season. His previous season high was eight homers in 457 at-bats with Texas in 2013. Wednesday performance busted a couple of poor streaks the outfielder was riding, including a three-game hitless skid and a home run drought dating back to June 23.

Martin went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and run in Saturday's 1-0 victory over the Astros.

EDGE Analysis

The 28-year-old was an intergral part of the low-scoring victory for Seattle, coming home on Robinson Cano's RBI single in the sixth for the only run of the game. Martin has multi-hit efforts in two of his last three games, but is still only slashing .209/.320/.326 in July.

Martin is out of the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Royals, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

EDGE Analysis

Martin has started the past 19 games for the Mariners, and will be getting a day off Thursday. In his place, the team will slot Shawn O'Malley into the game in center while batting ninth in the order. Throughout the 2016 season, Martin has been a solid contributor to Seattle's offense, posting a .247 average with 11 home runs and 26 RBI, while also tacking on nine stolen bases.

Martin is not in the lineup for Thurday's matchup with the Rays, Rays Baseball broadcaster Neil Solondz reports.

EDGE Analysis

Martin will sit for his first time since being activated off of the disabled list on June 10. He will sit Thursday in order to pack the lineup with more right-handed hitters against southpaw starter Blake Snell. While Martin sit, switch-hitter Shawn O'Malley will start in center field and bat ninth.
