Upton went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk Saturday against Arizona.

He just loves facing his old D-Backs mates -- Upton's now homered seven times to go with a .341 batting average in 24 career games against Arizona. However, as has become his tendency, Upton has faded following a hot start to the year -- Saturday's long ball was just his second in his last 32 games (31 starts). Upton's season numbers remain quite strong, but this inability to sustain star-level production may mean that the name is worth a little more than the numbers.

Upton is out of the lineup Thursday against the Braves.

Upton will take a seat for the first time since mid-May, giving way to Will Venable in left field. Following the activation of Wil Myers (wrist), there's one less outfield spot to go around in San Diego, but Upton should still find his way into the lineup much more often than not. The 27-year-old is batting just .194 since the start of June, however, so a day off to clear his head was likely in order.

Upton went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a walk and two strikeouts in Wednesday's win over the Angels.

Upton has now hit safely in four consecutive games, and he continues to put together a solid month of May, hitting .323/.400/.559 with a .959 OPS in 93 at-bats. On the season, Upton is hitting a healthy .293 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI. He leads the team in average, home runs, RBI, on-base percentage and hits.

Upton had a huge day at the plate on Sunday, finishing 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, six RBI and two runs scored against the Dodgers.

The slugger did all his damage early, as he set the tone with a first-inning grand slam and drove in two more runs with a bases-loaded double in the second. Upton now has 12 home runs and 35 RBI on the season and is one of the most productive cleanup hitters in the game at the moment.

Upton had a huge day at the plate on Sunday, going 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs and a walk against the Nationals.

The runs batted in pushed Upton's total up to 27 on the season and he looks like a good bet rival his career high of 102, set last year. The 27-year-old will remain extremely productive in the revamped Padres lineup if he continues to hit at this rate, as he upped his season OPS to .923 with this latest productive day.

Upton killed his former team yet again Saturday, hitting a 12th inning home run to cap off a 2-for-6 performance including a stolen bag in the 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Upton provided across the board Saturday grabbing a stolen bag, two RBI, and a run scored in the extra-innings win. He's been a beast this season and his ability to steal bags may be the most surprising development of his first season as a Padre. He now has three stolen bases in his last four games and has a total of eight on the season.

Upton grabbed a run, an RBI, and a stolen bag while going 1-for-4 in the 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks Friday.

Upton has quietly had a fantastic season and now has six stolen bags to go along with seven homers. Upton looks back to his 20-steal form that he had earlier in his career with the Diamondbacks and is poised to have his best fantasy season of his career if he keeps this pace going.

Upton went 0-for-2 in Wednesday's win over the Giants, but drew four walks, stole a base and scored two runs.

The base on balls hasn't been a big part of Upton's game this year, as he'd walked only six times in 27 contests coming into Wednesday's action. But that's really the only knock you can put on the 27-year-old outfielder in his first season with the Padres -- he's been simply fantastic thus far in San Diego.

Upton continued his hot hitting on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored against the Rockies.

The 27-year-old is adjusting quite nicely to his new home stadium, as he has posted a 1.013 OPS at Petco Park through 55 at-bats. He should continue to see plenty of chances to produce in the middle of a loaded Padres lineup and makes for an even nicer daily play when the team is at home.

Upton went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs scored in the Padres' 14-3 blowout win over Colorado on Friday.

He now has three stolen bases on the season, as the effort tripled his total for the year. Thus far, he's actually produced better numbers at Petco Park (.333/.386/.667, five homers) than on the road (.206/.229/.382, one homer), but the typical early-season small sample size caveats apply.
