Peralta was officially activated from the DL on Monday, Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times reports.

Peralta rejoined the team in Chicago on Monday, and he figures to be available as a reliever against the Cubs. He could eventually work into a setup role, but he'll likely serve in middle relief in the immediate future.

Peralta has returned to the team and will travel with the club to Chicago on Monday, the Dodgers' official site reports.

Peralta could eventually work his way back into an eighth inning role behind closer Kenley Jansen, but will probably pitch in middle relief initially.

Peralta will rejoin the Dodgers in Los Angeles on Saturday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.

He made it through back-to-back appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday and Friday, clearing the final hurdle on his road back from an arm injury. The Dodgers won't return Peralta to the bullpen right away, however, with his activation not expected until Monday.

Peralta (arm) will move his rehab to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

The plan calls for Peralta to pitch back-to-back with Oklahoma City on Thursday and Friday. Sunday seems like a logical target for Peralta's activation from the DL, assuming he avoids a setback and the Dodgers opt for a rest day Saturday.

Peralta (arm) tossed a scoreless inning for High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Monday.

After allowing three runs in 1.2 innings in his first two appearances, this was good to see. Expect the team to want another solid rehab appearance or two, but Peralta is getting close to a return.

Peralta (arm) had a rough first rehab outing for High-A Rancho Cucamonga Thursday, allowing a pair of runs in an inning of work.

The sequence went: triple, single, walk, flyout, flyout, flyout. He may need a bit longer than expected, but Peralta could be ready sometime next week.

Peralta (arm) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday with High-A Rancho Cucamonga, the Los Angeles Times' Dylan Hernandez reports.

It has been a slow road to recovery for Peralta, but the rehab assignment commencing this week points to him possibly returning to the Dodgers' bullpen sometime later this month. With Kenley Jansen holding down the closer role for the Dodgers, Peralta's value will be limited to ratios and strikeouts in leagues that don't reward holds.

Peralta (arm) expects to throw off a mound this week, Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports.

A dead arm forced Peralta onto the DL in late April and a pinched nerve in his neck was discovered shortly thereafter. Although the right-hander has been slow in moving through his rehab program, it sounds like he will clear a major hurdle in the coming days by returning to mound work and assuming all goes well, live batting practice won't be too far off.

Manager Don Mattingly said Peralta's (arm) recovery has been put "on hold" due to a pinched nerve in his neck, Ken Gurnick of reports.

Peralta initially hit the disabled list in April due to a dead arm issue, but it appears that's not the only thing ailing the right-hander. He'll stick around with the team in Los Angeles to continue the rehab process, though it appears safe to conclude that he won't be activated from the disabled list when eligible later in the week.

Peralta (arm) was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday.

Peralta had been suffering from a bout with dead arm, and it appears he will require a stint on the disabled list to work out the issues. The Dodgers recalled Carlos Frias to add another arm in the bullpen and Scott Baker, who will make a spot start for the Dodgers on Sunday.
