Heyward found his way on base four times in five plate appearances Saturday, accumulating two singles, two walks and two runs scored against the Cubs.

He just keeps pulling his numbers up, up, up as his red-hot June continues. Heyward has gone 27-for-81 (.333) with four homers, three steals, 13 RBI and 11 runs this month; while the counting stats remain a bit low, they're bound to come up if the Cardinals keep deploying him in the middle of the batting order.

Heyward stayed hot Thursday, hitting his ninth home run of the season and finishing 1-for-4 with three RBI in the win over Miami.

Heyward is hitting a blazing .410/.425/.769 over his last 10 games with two doubles, four home runs, 10 RBI and two stolen bases. This could be a real break out from the 25-year-old veteran, but if fantasy owners are still skeptical it provides a great window to sell high.

Heyward provided most of the Cardinals offense Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a solo home run in the loss to Philadelphia.

The Cardinals as a team collected just seven hits, nearly half coming from Heyward. He's been on a tear his last 20 games, hitting .348/.371/.470 in that time frame.

Heyward will bat fourth in the lineup against the Phillies Saturday.

Heyward has been batting all over the lineup this season, but his recent hot stretch (.317 AVG, three doubles in two weeks) has pushed him into the heart of the order for the Cards. With Matt Holiday (quadriceps) on the DL and Mark Reynolds getting a night off, Heyward will get his first shot hitting cleanup for the St. Louis.

Heyward went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 2-1 loss to the Twins on Thursday.

The homer was his first in the month of June, as he last went yard May 27 against the Diamondbacks. While it's been a tough year for Heyward, with his OBP lingering around .300, he's been heating up recently, having hit safely in six of his last seven games. He was already on pace for double-digit homers and steals, but Heyward would need to hit a big hot streak to even have a chance at a 20-20 season. At least he's moved back up in the lineup a bit lately, which should help boost his awful RBI total (20).

Heyward is not in the lineup against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Despite a robust .320 average against left-handers this season, Heyward will sit against Rockies southpaw Jorge De La Rosa. With Matt Holliday (quad) hitting the DL, the Cards will go with a starting outfield of Jon Jay (left), Peter Bourjos (center) and Randal Grichuk (right).

Heyward is out of the lineup Saturday against the Dodgers.

Heyward started the last two times the Cardinals faced a lefty and is batting .320/.382/.440 against left-handed pitching so far this season, but manager Mike Matheny has decided to stack his lineup almost exclusively with righty bats against Clayton Kershaw. Randal Grichuk will start in right field and bat fifth.

Heyward is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers, FOX Sports Midwest reports.

Heyward went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's loss, extending his hitting streak to five games, but he'll sit Tuesday as Randal Grichuk steps in against right-hander Tyler Cravy. It marks Heyward's second absence from the lineup in the team's last eight games, both coming against opposing righties. Even after a strong month of May, Heyward is still batting just .221/.264/.366 against right-handed pitching this season.

Heyward entered Saturday's game against the Dodgers for an ill Matt Holliday, singling twice in two at-bats.

So much for his day off. Heyward's warmed up a bit over the last three games, going 5-for-9 with a double, a homer and a walk without striking out, so he's starting to show some promise after a quiet start to the season. He's still on pace to deliver double-digit homers and steals, which should be enough to keep fantasy owners in most formats from cutting him to the wire for now.

Heyward is out of the lineup Saturday.

Heyward has two extra-base hits in his last two games, but he will take a seat in favor or Randal Grichuk in right field Saturday. While it seems likely that Heyward will be in the lineup most days given how much the Cardinals are invested in him for this season, there is no denying that Grichuk and Matt Holliday have been better than Heyward on a per-plate-appearance basis. The most common deployment will probably be for Grichuk to play center field with Heyward in right.
