Wieters (elbow) took batting practice off coaches in Sarasota from both sides of the plate Saturday and also threw from 120 feet and caught batting practice, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports. It sounds like Wieters is making significant progress, although that's what we thought in spring prior to his major setback. Wieters recently said a return for the start of May could be possible, but there is not a specific target date in mind. Caleb Joseph will continue to get the bulk of the starts behind the dish for Baltimore in the short term.
