Upton is out of the lineup Thursday against the Braves. Upton will take a seat for the first time since mid-May, giving way to Will Venable in left field. Following the activation of Wil Myers (wrist), there's one less outfield spot to go around in San Diego, but Upton should still find his way into the lineup much more often than not. The 27-year-old is batting just .194 since the start of June, however, so a day off to clear his head was likely in order.
