Twins designated RHP P.J. Walters for assignment. It comes as no surprise. Walters has posted a 5.95 ERA and 1.75 WHIP over eight starts this season for the Twins and is no longer needed with Mike Pelfrey returning from the DL. He seems likely to clear waivers and wind up back at Triple-A Rochester.
