Travis Wood pitched fairly well in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits over his five frames.
Wood also racked up seven strikeouts on the afternoon while walking two. He walked a run in to get the Cardinals on the board in the first inning, and they tacked on a pair in the third inning, only one of which was earned. He's held his own in the Cubs' rotation this season, compiling a 7-12 record, 4.23 ERA and 113/43 K/BB ratio in 144 2/3 innings. He'll look to continue his strong month of September when he takes on the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Sunday.
