Peavy (back) will throw a bullpen session Friday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Peavy resumed throwing off a mound Saturday for the first time since landing on the disabled list, and it appears he may be nearing a rehab assignment. The team will monitor how he feels after the bullpen session and then reach a decision on the next step afterward.
