Marquis was rocked for six runs on seven hits, walking two and striking out four while lasting just three innings in the Reds 10-2 loss to San Francisco on Friday night. Marquis (3-3, 6.63 ERA) tossed 41 of 64 pitches for strikes, but he wasn't fooling anyone, allowing a three-run homer in the first and a two-run shot in the third inning. He has collected three wins, but has just one start that would be considered quality so the Reds will likely be looking for alternatives if he doesn't show considerable improvement soon.
