Kyle Farnsworth has elected free agency. This, of course, is no surprise. Farnsworth was caught off guard and angry after he learned that the Mets outrighted him to Triple-A following Wednesday's game. The veteran right-hander owns a 3.18 ERA over 19 appearances this year and will attempt to catch on elsewhere.
