Kazmir (3-4) allowed only a single and two walks while striking out six over eight shutout innings in Thursday's 7-0 rout of the Rangers. Quite the turnaround from his last outing, in which he was unable to make it out of the fifth inning. Kazmir's been putting more men on base than usual this year, but the veteran lefty was nearly untouchable in this one, and he'll look to carry that momentum forward Tuesday against the Padres in San Diego.
