Justin Masterson got knocked around in Sunday's 7-0 loss in Oakland, allowing seven runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Masterson struck out five, walked one and served up two home runs in falling to 9-11. He served up a solo shot to Brandon Moss in the fourth before surrendering a three-run bomb to Coco Crisp in the fifth. Masterson has now allowed seven or more runs in three of his past five starts, ballooning his ERA from 4.12 on July 23 to 4.73. He'll have his hands full with the Yankees at home next weekend.
