Jhoulys Chacin (toe) threw a successful bullpen session Thursday and has been cleared to start Saturday.
Chacin has dealt with some minor soreness in his left big toe lately, but it's no big deal. "It wasn't even an issue that came up. He was good. Really good," Rockies pitching coach Jim Wright said. "He feels it a little bit, but that's not a bad thing when we want him to land softly on that front foot." Chacin's outing Saturday will be his last before leaving to join Venezuela for the World Baseball Classic.
