Fiers (3-7) gave up six runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings Wednesday in a loss to the Royals. His typical strikeouts weren't even there -- just two this time. Fiers is one of the strangest pitchers in the major leagues, as he generally posts a sky-high strikeout rate despite a fastball that averages less than 90 mph, yet achieves mixed results in terms of runs on the board. It seems he's due for some better luck, but fantasy owners shouldn't get too excited over Fiers; last year's 2.13 ERA was an aberration. He draws the Mets on Tuesday.
