Eovaldi was effective on Tuesday night agaisnt the A's, allowing two runs over 5.1 innings. Eovaldi left with a 3-2 lead, but only went 86 pitches and the Yankees bullpen was unable to hold the lead. Eovaldi has struggled with batters reaching base throughout the first half and his WHIP now stands at an ugly 1.53. He will next take the hill on Sunday in Fenway Park.
