Doug Fister turned in a quality start in a no-decision against the Astros on Friday, surrendering three runs (two earned) on nine hits over six-plus innings of work.
Fister struck out four on the night while walking just one. He cruised through the first six innings unscathed, but ran in to trouble in the seventh when the first five Astros reached base, pushing all three runs across. Fister, who often gets overshadowed in the Tigers' star-studded rotation, now sits at 4-1 on the year with a 2.93 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 29/7 K/BB ratio over his first 40 innings. He'll strive to get back in the win column when he takes on the Indians at home on Friday.
