Derek Holland yielded two runs in seven innings Wednesday in a win over the Angels.
An Alberto Callaspo homer scored both runs. It was the 28th homer allowed by Holland through 163 innings this season. Last year, he allowed 22 in 198 innings. That fact alone accounts for the jump in his ERA; he's allowing fewer hits overall and walks than he did last season. At least his ERA is coming down. He's at 4.42 now, his lowest mark since late May.
