Colon (4-1) took his first loss of the year Wednesday in Miami, giving up four runs on nine hits over 6.2 innings. He struck out two without a walk. Despite this being his worst start of the year, Colon continued to show masterful control, as he avoided walking a batter for the fourth consecutive outing and has issued just one base on balls all year. That's helped Colon keep his WHIP down so far -- it's still just 0.98 -- but considering that he's only posted a marker under 1.20 once in the last eight seasons, it seems likely that there are some more course corrections to come.
