CC Sabathia (elbow) said he plans on beginning his offseason throwing after Christmas.
It's when he's begun his throwing program the last three offseasons, so the big left-hander's routine hasn't been altered despite undergoing surgery in October to remove a small bone spur from his elbow. He should be ready to roll for spring training. "That's when I always begin throwing," Sabathia said. "That's normal. The past three seasons I waited until Christmas to begin throwing. Before that, I started earlier. But I have been giving myself a break the last few years. I should be right on schedule. Feeling great. The range of motion is back. I'm not worried. I'm excited about the season."
