Cardinals sent OF Adron Chambers outright to Triple-A Memphis. Chambers is a Quadruple-A center fielder who is running out of time to establish himself as a reserve outfielder in the big leagues. The 27-year-old, who has spent most of the past three seasons with Memphis, has slashed a putrid .216/.289/.295 over 99 plate appearances with St. Louis over parts of the last three seasons. He declared for free agency and will look for a minor league deal elsewhere.
