Cardinals optioned LHP Marc Rzepczynski to Triple-A Memphis. "Scrabble" has posted a 4.77 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 54 2/3 innings since the start of the 2012 season. He's simply not an effective lefty specialist at the moment.
