Kendrick went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a run and two RBI in Sunday's 10-9 loss to the Diamondbacks.

EDGE Analysis

Kendrick batted leadoff for the first time since Sept. 13 and responded with a trio of hits, breaking out of a 5-for-32 skid. The doubles were Kendrick's first extra-base hits of September, and he'd managed just one RBI this month prior to Sunday. The 33-year-old has been slumping since mid-August, but perhaps his multi-hit effort can help him finish the season on a high note.

Kendrick is out of the lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks.

EDGE Analysis

This is the second day in a row Kendrick will be kept on the bench, but it's likely just to rest him for the ensuing postseason push. Andre Ethier will draw the start in left field to replace him.

Kendrick is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Yankees.

EDGE Analysis

The Dodgers will give Andrew Toles the nod in left field while Chase Utley mans second base, so Kendrick will start Wednesday's game on the bench. He should continue to play somewhat regularly down the stretch, although the Dodgers now have so much depth after roster expansion that he will inevitably get a day or two off each week.

Kendrick is not in the lineup Friday against the Marlins, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

EDGE Analysis

With right-hander Jose Fernandez taking the ball for Miami, the Dodgers are going with a lefty-heavy lineup for the evening. Andrew Toles will fill in for Kendrick in left field for the series opener.

Kendrick led off and went 4-for-5 during Friday's game against the Padres.

EDGE Analysis

Continuing a recent trend of batting at or near the top of the order versus left-handed pitching, Kendrick was effective Friday, although that did not translate into any counting stats. He is hitting .344 with a .462 on-base percentage in 64 at-bats out of the leadoff spot this season, and should continue to see opportunities to set the table for as long as he can sustain that level of production.

Kendrick is not in Saturday's lineup against the Cubs.

EDGE Analysis

It appears to be a day of rest for the 33-year-old utility man as Chase Utley mans second base and Andrew Toles takes over in left field. Kendrick is batting .280/.337/.463 throughout August and will likely be back in the lineup Sunday.

Kendrick is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Andrew Toles will get the nod to start in left field and bat eighth Sunday as Kendrick gets the day off. Kendrick has struggled at the plate in recent outings, having gone 0-for-13 over the Dodgers' last four games, bringing his batting average down to .273 for the season.

Kendrick had a huge day Tuesday, going 4-for-5 with a home run, a triple, and a pair of singles in a 15-5 win over the Phillies.

EDGE Analysis

Kendrick was just a double shy of the cycle Tuesday, and had three RBI and a pair of runs scored to boot. The veteran second baseman has been on fire this past month, hitting .362 with five home runs and 21 runs scored over his past 30 games. The terrific stretch has raised Kendrick's batting average to .283 on the season, putting him roughly on pace for a career average year for him. The homer was Kendrick's eighth of the year, and he now has 34 RBI and 53 runs scored.

Kendrick went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and three RBI in Tuesday's 9-3 rout of the Phillies.

EDGE Analysis

Kendrick's two-run blast in the bottom of the second gave the Dodgers a 3-2 lead they would never relinquish, while his sixth-inning double just widened what was already a sizable gap with what ended up being the game's final run. The veteran showed his versatility in this one by returning to left field after making his last two starts at second base, and more offensive outbursts like this one will inspire the Dodgers to continue finding ways to get his bat in the lineup.
