Longoria (wrist) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Longoria was hit on the left wrist by a pitch during Monday's game against the Nationals, less than a week after returning from an injury to the same wrist. He was removed from Monday's game after the HBP, but X-rays came back negative.

Longoria is day-to-day after being hit on the left wrist by a pitch in Monday's game against Washington, Fox Sports Florida reports.

Longoria went 1-for-1 with a walk, an RBI and a run before taking a Taylor Hill pitch to the wrist. X-rays were negative after the game, so he could be right back out there Tuesday. Longoria suffered an injury to the same wrist earlier this month, though, which may prompt the Rays to exercise caution.

Longoria (wrist) is back in the lineup Wednesday against the Angels.

Longoria came on to pinch hit Tuesday, but struck out. He had been out since Saturday due to a wrist injury, but will be back in the lineup Wednesday, batting third and playing third base.

Longoria (wrist) will be available off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Angels, and he expects to rejoin the lineup Wednesday night, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.

There is some cause for skepticism, seeing as Longoria was previously expected to rejoin the lineup Tuesday. Of course, even though his presence in Wednesday's lineup can't be guaranteed, he doesn't seem to be in danger of landing on the disabled list. It will be encouraging if he's used as a pinch-hitter or defensive replacement, as opposed to a pinch-runner, in Tuesday's game.

Longoria (wrist) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels, Steve Carney of 620 WDAE reports.

Longoria continues to deal with a wrist injury, and he'll remain out of the lineup, despite the team saying earlier Tuesday that the third baseman was expected to return. A DL stint is still not anticipated, though Longoria's injury may be slightly more serious than the Rays have let on. At this time, it's unclear whether Longoria will be available as a pinch hitter.

Longoria (wrist) plans to return to the lineup for Tuesday's game, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

At the very least, this is a good indication that Longoria isn't headed to the DL, but then again, the Rays wouldn't have likely used him as pinch runner if that were the case. Longoria's return would push Jake Elmore back to starting at first base and stop the Rays from playing guys like Nick Franklin and Rene Rivera out of position.

Longoria (wrist) was used as a pinch-runner in the eighth inning of Sunday's win against the Mariners. He scored on a sacrifice fly by David DeJesus.

Longoria was kept out of the starting lineup Sunday for a second straight day due to soreness in his left wrist. Jake Elmore has taken over the hot corner the last two games and hit fairly well, going 2-for-5 with a walk and one run scored. He figures to continue seeing most of the starts until Longoria is clear to return. It's uncertain when that will be, but the Rays' decision to use Longoria as a pinch-runner seems to suggest he is not in imminent danger of landing on the DL.

Longoria (wrist) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Longoria, who also sat out Saturday, acknowledged that his wrist has been bugging him for a few days, and after consulting with manager Kevin Cash, the third baseman decided it was for the best to sit out the rest of the weekend. It's expected that Longoria will be good to go for Tuesday's series opener against the Angels, so it may still make sense for those with weekly lineup moves to keep him active.

Longoria has a sore left wrist, which is why he is getting a day off Saturday, the Tampa Tribune's Roger Mooney reports.

The Rays could also opt to hold Longoria out Sunday, which would allow him to get three days off since the team doesn't play Monday. For now though, consider him day-to-day. Jake Elmore got the start at third base Saturday.

Longoria is out of the lineup Saturday.

With Felix Hernandez, perhaps the best right-handed pitcher in the game, toeing the rubber for the Mariners, the Rays will use Saturday as a rest day for Longoria. Jake Elmore gets the start at third base and will hit seventh.
