LeMahieu recorded two singles and drove in two runs in Monday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

LeMahieu was used in the No. 2 spot in the order for a second consecutive start, but it's unclear if manager Walt Weiss will proceed with that arrangement moving forward. Weiss had typically been using Nolan Arenado in the two hole, but with Troy Tulowitzki getting rest in each of LeMahieu's last two starts, Arenado may have only been moved down in the order to give the Rockies more of a power bat in the middle of the lineup. Regardless of his deployment in the lineup, LeMahieu hasn't seemed to miss a beat, as Monday's 2-for-5 day raised his season average to a team-best .333 and extended his hitting streak to eight games.

LeMahieu is out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants.

LeMahieu is currently riding a seven-game hit streak that includes three multi-hit efforts, but manager Walt Weiss decided it would be best to give him Sunday off. Daniel Descalso will get the start at second base in his place.

LeMahieu produced three hits across seven at-bats and scored three runs and provided an RBI during Saturday's doubleheader with the Giants.

After serving in the bottom third of the order in Game 1, LeMahieu was bumped up to the two hole in Game 2 with Troy Tulowitzki sitting out. LeMahieu is now batting .331 after the three-hit day, but it doesn't sound like his strong performance thus far will earn him a permanent stay in the upper half of the lineup just yet.

LeMahieu connected on a three-run homer and also came around to score after a ninth-inning single in Friday's 11-8 loss to the Giants.

LeMahieu's batting average lost some helium after during his slump over the first couple weeks of May, but he's been able to rebound during the Rockies' ongoing homestand. Over the last five games, he's gone 7-for-18 at the dish and scored five runs, making him a productive commodity for fantasy owners despite his presence in the bottom third Rockies' batting order.

LeMahieu is not in the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

LeMahieu has made 12 straight starts at the keystone for the Rockies, so a regular maintenance day was likely in order. The 26-year-old infielder has cooled off after a scorching hot start, as his May batting average (.171) is less than half of the mark he posted in April (.406).

LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Thursday's loss to the Rockies.

The Rockies' hottest hitter through much of April, LeMahieu's batting average has unsurprisingly come crashing down along with his BABIP. He's still slashing a cool .324/.378/.412 for the season, but with his walk and strikeout rates roughly in line with those he's posted throughout his career, there will almost certainly be some further decline headed his way.

LeMahieu is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.

Daniel Descalso will man second base and bat eighth as LeMahieu sits for just the second time this season. LeMahieu has racked up seven hits in his last four games and now has a .406 average, the best in all of baseball (among qualifiers).

LeMahieu went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI in the Rockies' win over the Giants on Friday night.

While LeMahieu will continue to hit in the bottom third of the Colorado lineup, he's been a pleasant surprise for those who are using him as a cheap filler in the middle infield. LeMahieu currently leads the National league with a .414 batting average, while he's also chipped in a homer and 12 RBI.

LeMahieu isn't in the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers,'s Thomas Harding reports.

Currently ranking second in the National League with a .463 batting average, LeMahieu has been a pleasant surprise for the Rockies early in the season, but he'll be rested Sunday for the first time this season. The lightly-used Daniel Descalso will step in to cover second base in LeMahieu's stead.

LeMahieu hit a two-run homer in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Dodgers.

It's just the second extra-base hit of the season for LeMahieu, who has nonetheless been a boon to fantasy owners thanks to his lofty .463 batting average. That mark will come down once his .529 BABIP normalizes, but LeMahieu's strong contact skills should at least allow him to uphold an average better than most of the league's second basemen throughout the season. Even so, don't expect many counting stats to come with it, as LeMahieu's lack of pop and low placement in the Rockies' lineup doesn't lend itself to many RBI or run-scoring opportunities.
