Granderson is out of the lineup Saturday.

This is a rare day off for Granderson, who has just one hit in his last four games. While his .244/.342/.419 slash line is not outstanding, his .762 OPS actually ranks second behind only Lucas Duda (.768) among Mets regulars. John Mayberry will get the start in right field Saturday with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound for the Diamondbacks.

Granderson was 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run, and a stolen base in the Mets' win over Cincinnati on Friday night.

After a horrible start, Granderson is now hitting .250 on the season, and leads the Mets with 12 long ones. In fact, he has homered in four of his last 17 at bats. He's been hitting in the leadoff spot, and the stolen base was his fifth, but if he stays hot it's certainly possible the Mets will consider moving him down a bit in the order to hopefully generate more run production.

Granderson went 3-for-5 and was caught stealing in Thursday's win over Milwaukee.

He neither drove in nor scored a run, but that takes nothing away from Granderson, who's been swinging a hot bat lately -- over the last five games, he's gone 8-for-18 (.444) with three homers and a 4:3 BB:K. Granderson has overtaken the team lead in home runs, and it's worth wondering whether Terry Collins might drop him out of the leadoff spot toward the heart of the lineup, where the thunder in his bat would be more useful.

Granderson is out of the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays.

Granderson's absence likely relates to the left-handed Mark Buehrle on the mound for the Blue Jays. Instead, the club will turn to Juan Lagares in center field and at leadoff, while John Mayberry will enter the lineup in right field, batting sixth for the Mets.

Granderson finished 2-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Despite the big day, the veteran is still hitting just .236 with eight home runs on the season. Granderson isn't providing enough counting stats to make up for his poor average at the moment and his fantasy value is quite limited outside of deeper formats.

Granderson is out of the lineup Thursday against the Diamondbacks.

Granderson will likely sit due to the southpaw in Robbie Ray toeing the rubber for the Diamondbacks. John Mayberry will start in right field in his place, batting sixth for the Mets.

Granderson is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

As has regularly been the case this season, Granderson will get the day off with a left-hander -- Jaime Garcia this time -- on the mound for the opposition. John Mayberry will get the start in right field Thursday in Granderson's place.

Granderson went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI, including a two-run homer in the 14-1 win over the Brewers on Saturday.

The Mets went off on Milwaukee and Granderson was the catalyst out of the leadoff spot. He now has an OBP of .365 and appears to be finding the power stoke he is known for.

Granderson went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's victory over the Phillies.

Granderson is still hitting just .238 on the season, but he is picking up the pace in the power department, tallying two home runs and a double through eight games this month after recording just five extra-base hits over 23 May contests. He continues to hold down the leadoff spot for the Mets.

Granderson is back in the lineup Sunday against the Nationals.

Granderson was granted a rare day off Saturday, likely due to the fact that lefty Gio Gonzalez was starting for the Nats. With Washington going with a right-hander in Doug Fister on Sunday, Granderson will reclaim his usual spot atop the order.
