Lewis (lat) has felt good in recent workouts and is expected to return at the end of August, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

EDGE Analysis

The team plans to have Lewis make two or three rehab starts, then join the team in the last week of August. Before being injured, Lewis had been enjoying one of the best seasons of his career, as he's 6-1 with a 3.21 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.

EDGE Analysis

Lewis will play catch at 60 feet Thursday and Saturday, and seems to be progressing right on schedule. The right-hander was expected to miss two months and should be ready to return to the club around late August.

Lewis (lat) isn't expected to resume throwing for at least two more weeks, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lewis is on the 60-day DL and can't return until mid-August as a result, but his rehab timeline is trending toward an early September return at this point. He'll likely need the full 30 days allotted to him in a rehab assignment once he's cleared to begin one.

Lewis was moved to the 60-day DL on Saturday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lewis hit the 15-day DL earlier in the week with a strained lat muscle, and he'll now head to the 60-day list to make room for A.J. Griffin on the 40-man roster. Lewis is expected to miss up to two months, and Saturday's move would appear to suggest the Rangers don't believe he'll be back any earlier.

Lewis was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday and is expected to miss up to two months with a strained lat muscle, MLB.com's TR Sullivan reports.

EDGE Analysis

He won't throw for four weeks and may not be able to rejoin the rotation until late August. The lat is where the shoulder meets the back, so this is fairly serious for a starting pitcher. He will get another MRI in four weeks before embarking on a throwing program. Lewis joins Derek Holland and Yu Darvish on the DL, as the Rangers are left scrambling trying to piece together a big-league caliber rotation in the short term. It is unclear who will replace Lewis in the rotation at this time, but they could look to address their need via trade.

Before leaving with a cramp in his right triceps muscle, Lewis (6-1) allowed six runs on five hits to earn his first loss of the season. He walked one and struck out three.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran entered the game having pitched four consecutive quality starts, but was forced out before reaching the sixth inning for just the second time in 2016. Lewis has been great for the Rangers this season, and losing him for any amount of time would be an unfortunate blow to the team and fantasy owners.

Lewis left Tuesday's game with cramping in his right triceps muscle, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Reds got to Lewis for six runs on five hits and a walk over five innings (68 pitches) before he left the game. Cesar Ramos came on in relief of Lewis, who will be re-evaluated Wednesday as the Rangers look to determine whether he can make his next scheduled start.

Lewis (6-0) carried a no-hitter through eight innings Thursday against Oakland, ultimately settling for two hits, a walk and one run with four strikeouts in a complete-game gem.

EDGE Analysis

Max Muncy opened up the ninth with a double and Coco Crisp doubled him home after Lewis had spent the entire afternoon to that point frustrating Oakland hitters, who made plenty of contact against him, but put much of it on the ground. After being largely unplayable in fantasy over the last two seasons, Lewis has all of a sudden found some magic this year, having gone undefeated through 14 outings while posting a startling 2.81 ERA. That said, his luck with BABIP and strand rate has been spectacular in a way that's impossible to sustain, and he's actually giving up more hard contact than ever before. If you happen to own Lewis, try to sell this supposed renaissance to someone else; it's not going to last.

Despite delivering an eight-inning gem Saturday against the Mariners, Lewis (5-0) was left with a no-decision. He pitched eight innings, allowing one run, three hits and no walks while striking out three.

EDGE Analysis

Lewis was ridiculously efficient in this one, needing just 88 pitches to get through his longest outing of the season. He only faced three more than the minimum while lowering his ERA to 3.00 - its best mark since May 20. The only mistake he made was leaving a changeup up in the zone to Adam Lind that was hit out of the ballpark. Lewis will look to continue his great season in his next start on Thursday against Oakland.

Lewis allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision Monday against the Astros.

EDGE Analysis

Lewis has been remarkably consistent this year. In his 12 starts, he has failed to go six innings just once, and he has allowed more than three earned runs just thrice. Lewis is thriving on his control and has now gone eight straight starts with two or fewer walks. He's the exact kind of veteran innings eater the Rangers needed at the end of their rotation, but unfortunately his low strikeout rate (6.0 K/9) makes him a bit less valuable from a fantasy standpoint.
