According to MLB Trade Rumors, the Diamondbacks have signed right-hander Chris Jakubauskas. Jakubauskas hinted at the move via his Twitter account earlier in the day Tuesday. The 32-year-old right-hander opted for free agency after being outrighted off the O's 40-man roster late last month. He posted an ugly 5.72 ERA and 52/29 K/BB ratio over 72 1/3 innings as a reliever and starter this past season. The Diamondbacks have yet to make an official announcement, but chances are it's a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

Chris Jakubauskas hopes to have a contract agreement to return to the Orioles on Monday. The 32-year-old right-hander was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk and subsequently elected free agency in late-October. It's probably best that he stay in Baltimore, an organization with whom he's familiar and also has the worst pitching staff in all of baseball. Jakubauskas posted an ugly 5.72 ERA and 52/29 K/BB ratio over 72 1/3 innings as both a starter and reliever this past season.
